We attend an English Church service here in Cheongju. While our English service normal only has about 100 attendees in the congregation on Sundays, we're actually part of a much larger Korean Church, Sangdang. Sangdang has about 10,000 members... I would say it's classified as a 'Mega Church'....
Every year the church holds a sports day, where the church is split into teams based on what neighbourhood or 'dong' they live in... Luckily for us, this year (this past Sunday), they decided to make a team specially for the English Service members. We didn't have quite enough team players on our (we needed 40 people to participate) so we joined up with the Russians in our church as well (they attend the big Korean service with translation...).
The events included a relay race, volleyball, soccer volleyball (can't remember the Korean name...), kickball, arm wrestling, dodge ball, and a group 3-leg race. It was a ton of fun and it was also a beautiful day for it!

We won prizes! They had a draffle at the end of the events and I won a shampoo and conditioner set and the girl I'm posing with (Heidi) won a fan!

I'm glad you decided to go. Some teams look very serious with matching shirts or uniforms. I suppose it's hard to get waygooks to be so organised seeing how transient they are. Were you supposed to wear a certain color? Perhaps the memo was in Korean?
