Transatlantic Cruise

After the Netherlands we headed down to Barcelona for 2 days before we boarded our cruise.

We absolutely LOVED Barcelona! We only had 2 days there and the 1st day it was pouring rain, and yet we still had the opportunity to see a lot of the sights in the city! We most definitely will be going back to Barcelona one day!

Our boat was awesome! You would have to be CRAZY to ever be bored on that boat! They always had so much for you to do. The crowd on the boat was fairly old (70+) but we still got along with everyone and met some neat people. Would we do a transatlantic cruise again? I dunno... 6 days on the open sea is a little long... Otherwise we loved it and we can't wait to plan our next cruise (We're working on becoming platinum members! Only 9 more cruises to go! haha)

Our first stop on the boat was Palma De Mallorca, Spain- Also VERY beautiful. I think we both kind of fell in love with Spain on this trip, we never realized how much history and beauty Spain had to offer!

Our 2nd stop was Mallaga, Spain- Here we took an excursion out to a small village where we did some wine tasting. Mallaga was also very scenic and had some beautiful views!

Our last stop on the European side of the Atlantic was Las Palmas in the Canary Islands- We took a tour around the island and saw some small villages, some more big churches, and the volcano crater.

1 month of traveling was going a bit slow while we were in the process of actually doing it... but now that we are home safe and sound in Canada it seemed so short and I almost wished we could have done more! Who knows when we will be back on that side of the world again??

We've started to settle into life in Canada as much as we can for now... Our bags and boxes (they came from Korea the day after we got here!) have been unpacked just to be packed up again in less than a week for our month-long Christmas trip to Thunder Bay!

You may be thinking what's next for the Mol's? That's a good question and if you know the answer or have suggestions feel free to let us in on the secret! Until then, this is goodbye!

  1. How weird, just this morning I looked at your blog feed and wondered if you were ever going to tie it all up... I have loved reading about your adventures (and getting to know Robyn just that little bit!) so thanks for sharing! Neat to see you go to some places I've been (delft, amsterdam, etc) and a whole lot more that are on my "one day" list - spain, china, korea...

What an awesome adventure for you guys. Now you need to take all your blog text and photos and make a photo book of it all, exactly as is.

Enjoy whatever your next stage is!

  2. Thanks Annet!

It's funny that you mention making a photobook because that was pretty much my inspiration to finish the blog off so I would have the last pages to put in the book I have been making during the whole year!
