"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbour, catch the trade winds in your sails.

Explore. Dream. Discover."

Quick Update

I thought I'd just write a quick note to let people know how things are going.

Our visas and passports have finally come after some anxious waiting and we are all set to go in that area!

Today we packed our bags, we still have a couple of days before we leave, but packing has been quite the process, and this way we have time to add stuff that we've forgotten. Suprisingly, packing wasn't as hard as I first imagined. We were able to pack all of our stuff into 3 large suitcases, 1 medium, and 2 little carry-on suitcases! However, all the bags are quite full and sitting pretty close to that 50 pound mark!

I think we're both starting to feel the nerves but also getting really excited as our departure date approaches. It's just recently hit us that we really know very littler, well actually no Korean... So for the past week or so my mom and dad have taken it upon themselves to find out some Korean words for us. Luckily, we live in a neighbourhood with a few Koreans (who knew?). The guy who owns Tri-Glen, the corner store is Korean, as is our drycleaner, and also Mom stopped in at a Korean restaurant and talked to a young girl. So far we have learned to say Hello- annyeonghaseyo and Thank You- gamsahabnida. We have A LOT of learning to do!

The top picture is Brian with his passport- the visa is pretty much just a big sticker in ur passport.
The middle picture is our korean won that we bought- which is equivelent to about $59CAD

Also, we hear the word is that some people have been having trouble making comments on the blog. In order to make a comment you must have a google account. Otherwise, if anyone is interested, feel free to send us an e-mail at robyn.wagenaar@hotmail.com. Also, if anyone prefers the old fashioned method of communication, this is our apartment mailing address:

That's all for now! Hopefully our next post will be coming to you from CHEONGJU, SOUTH KOREA!
