It's Official!

Tickets are booked!!!

We are outta here on the 10th of October! But we won't be touching down on Canadian soil until the 13th of November. Brian and I decided it would be a good idea to have a celebratory vacation, and spend a bit (maybe too much) of our hard earned money.

Our flight path: ICN-WEH-PEK-LHR-AMS-BCN-HOU-DFW-YYC

From Korea we will be flying to Beijing for a tour around the city so we can see all of the sights. From Beijing we will fly on to Amsterdam where we hope to meet up with some friends and visit some family. Then, at the end of October we will be travelling down to Spain and boarding a cruise across the Atlantic (a good deal!) and end up Galveston, Texas. From there we will fly back to Calgary, our original starting point! Brian and I are both pretty excited because we will have officially gone around the world. Something to check off my bucket list for sure! (Don't worry Thunder Bay, we didn't forget about you! We will be making a lengthy visit over Christmas!!!)

Now that all of the airfare is booked and everything is official, it is time to get back to reality and continue normal life here in Korea... I now have to find work-related things to do at school instead of dreaming about our journey home....

We have started to experience 'the rainy season' here in Korea... It rained almost all of last week with very few breaks... It is also supposed to rain much of this week and all of next... All that Brian and I really care about is that the weather turns around for our summer holidays at the beginning of August. We're taking a trip to Busan!

P.S. Sorry for the boring posts lately with no pictures... We'll fix that soon...

  1. Ohhey, if you go to the Wall from Beijing, can you grab me a rock? x3 Your mother didn't know that I collect them when she was there.

  2. How awesome would a cruise across the atlantic be? Super excited for you...
What's the plans for back in Calgary? Is it as hard to find teaching work there as it is in Thunder Bay?

  3. Kaitlin, we will definitely try and grab you a rock from the wall!

Annet, the plans for when we're back in Calgary are up in the air... Neither Brian and I are qualified to teach in Canada so we'll see what we end up doing or if we end up going back to school. There are still lots of decisions to be made!
